US Economy Brief Editorial Team is the public byline on every briefing published here.
It is a team name, not a person. We do not publish under invented individual identities.
What we do not claim
We do not claim that a named individual re-checks each briefing before it is published.
An earlier version of this page described a “review desk” that re-checked source
control, dates, and uncertainty labels. We removed that description because we could not
show that it happens for every page. We would rather say less than say something we
cannot stand behind.
What the byline does mean
- Briefings are drafted with AI assistance and published under this team name.
- The team name is who to contact, and who is answerable when something is wrong.
- Primary sources are linked in the text so a reader can check the claim directly.
How we hold ourselves to it
The standards we publish against are on How We Review Policy
Briefings and Editorial Policy. Those pages describe what a
briefing should show. Where we fall short of them, the correction path on
Corrections is how that gets fixed.
